Stencil printing (pochoir) is an accessible, fun way to make prints. Using paint or ink with a dauber or sponge, participants can make multi-color images. This workshop will introduce participants to the technique and work with individuals to achieve any level of printed image they seek to create.
Experimentation is welcome and encouraged!
About the Instructor:
Patrick Vincent is from Minneapolis, Minnesota. He received his B.F.A. from the University of Minnesota, Twin Cities, and his M.F.A. from Arizona State University. He has worked for the design/letterpress workspace Studio on Fire, the Minnesota Center for Book Arts, and Pyracantha Press. Patrick is currently an Associate Professor of Printmaking at Austin Peay State University and creates original works of art as well as collaborations in print media.
