Unlock your personal narrative through material culture with current Watkins College of Art Faculty Fellow and mixed-media artist LaKesha Lee. Her practice centers on reflecting, remembering, and reconstructing, and this summer at the Buchanan Arts Center she will guide you through ceramics, textiles, and mixed media techniques for creative expression. You will create one large-scale, hand-built vessel ornamented with handmade ceramic stamps for surface layering and texture. The class also introduces cold finishing, fabric, textiles, and quilting skills to produce a unique, one-of-a-kind sculptural work.
