Figurative Clay Sculpture with Tessa Pardo
Explore the art of figurative sculpture in this comprehensive eight-week course. Under the guidance of artist Tessa Pardo, students will master slab and coil building techniques to create unique portrait busts, focusing on the anatomy of the head and facial features. You will also experiment with sculptural adornment using pre-made sprig molds to add intricate detail to your work. The course covers both glazing and cold-finishing techniques to bring your vision to life. Open to all levels.
Fabric & Textiles: Materials, Mending, and Community with Theresa Buffo
Explore textile practices through stitching, mending, assemblage, and mixed media approaches. Rooted in slow making and material awareness, the class emphasizes process over perfection while introducing participants to both traditional and experimental textile techniques. We will create multiple small works, ultimately combining them into a singular collage or book by the end of the class. Students of all levels will build confidence in hand stitching and mixed media composition; making a book that encapsulates a wide variety of materials and techniques. (All Levels, tools and materials included)
Intro-Level Wheelthrowing & Handbuilding with Riley Rhodes
Join us on Thursday evenings for our 8-week introductory level pottery class with Riley Rhodes, ceramic artist and BAC Studio Operations Manager.
All levels welcome, but this class will be structured for the beginner with the option for foundational learning experiences on the wheel.
